We accept all patients, including children of all ages. However, the suitability of the scan depends on the child and the type of scan required. While x-rays are quick, MRI and CT scans can take longer and require the child to remain still for the duration.
Yes, caregivers are allowed to always remain with their child during the scan to provide comfort and reassurance. We allow non-patients in the room in as a safe manner. Please note the non-patients may be asked to stand behind the shield when children are having x-rays, OR if needed to assist, wear a lead gown.
No, we do not sedate children for scans. Our team is skilled in making children feel comfortable and ensuring the process is as smooth as possible.
Children may not always be able to communicate their concerns or discomfort. This requires highly skilled and experienced staff who excel in communication, especially when working with younger patients. Additionally, scans for children can be more complex and take longer. NCR's expert staff specialise in the unique needs of children of all ages.

We welcome walk-in x-rays and OPG at NCR clinics. No appointment is needed; just bring a valid referral.
